As with Artichoke, I experimented with a number of versions of the pink Pincushion Protea plant before deciding on the looser, simplified version of it and taking heart in Picasso's words: "It took me four years to paint like Raphael, but a lifetime to paint like a child."!   And might I add it makes me happy to look at it.
